Yesterday I posted a letter here that was written by an elder from the Greenlawn church of Christ in Lubbock. The letter tells of a prison worship service being interrupted by a group of Muslims who became belligerent during the service. Since I posted that note I have received a number of responses from concerned Christians who all acknowledge that we are in for a battle.
We Christians of the United States of America have had an easy time of practicing our religion since the founding of this great Nation. However the freedom we have enjoyed is coming to an end. We are being attacked by a religion that does not recognize Christ as the Savior. That same religion believes that we must be stopped and destroyed. In addition, our religious freedom has been attacked by our government in the name of political correctness. Our founding fathers did not want the “church” to be the government, but they never intended for God to be eliminated from our lives. In fact our great Nation was founded on Christian principles.
Where will the future take us? I don’t know, but I do believe that Christians will be called on to make a stand. I believe we are being called upon, even now, to join the battle of keeping the USA, a Christian nation. Our religious freedom has lead to complacency. We have come to believe that what has always been will always be, and that is wrong. Change has come to this country, and it is a change that is taking God out of this country. Am I being an alarmist? I hope so, and I hope you will join me. It has been proven throughout the decades that the loudest squeak gets the attention. It is time for Christianity to be the loudest squeak.
Till next time,
Grump
